Nature Climate Smart Agriculture & Agrifood
ESI assists clients in the adoption of Nature and Climate-based Solutions to Agriculture and Agrifood business, notably to facilitate the protection on our natural resources and ecosystems. This approach highlights the implementation of Climate-Smart approach to implement Nature and Science-based Targets to achieve Net Zero Targets by 2050 for Agriculture and Agrifood sectors including the use of emerging technologies such as Digital Twin, IOTs, Remote Sensing and Artificial Intelligence and the participation of local community.
Climate-Smart approach adopts precision, carbon and regenerative farming and integration of activities such as forestry, crop planting, livestock and fisheries to address the dire challenges from environmental pollution, loss of biodiversity, climate change, crop resiliency, better yields, food safety, crisis and security.
The palm oil industry will be given attention notably to address its many interlinked environmental-sustainability- carbon issues.
We believe in creating a synergistic relationship and mutuality of space between the palm oil “habitat” and ecosystem with that of other land uses and adjacent natural forest ecosystems. This synergistic and mutualistic relationship will help to maximise biodiversity protection and recovery and long-term climate resiliency for greater sustainability while at the same time reduces environmental pollution and degradation and carbon emissions.
